Hurricane Relief

As a church, we want to provide relief for those who have been affected by Hurricane Florence. As new opportunities arise, we will post them on this page. Here are a few ways we can help!

In Greenville

For relief in Greenville, we want to encourage you to ask your Small Group leader if there any ways to serve in the area, or let your Small Group know you or someone you know is in need. If you need immediate assistance, email .

In New Bern

New Bern was hit very hard from Florence and they are in major need of relief. Samaritan's Purse has already been active in the New Bern area and we would encourage you to join in with them!

SRBA Volunteers Needed to Staff Manna One in New Bern

The SRBA is part of Region 2 in our Baptist State Convention. I've just learned that Region 2 will be responsible for volunteers to staff Manna One, one of NC Baptists on Mission feeding units, in New Bern from September 26 - October 1 and again from October 11 - 16. We are currently recruiting volunteers for this effort. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Tim Etheridge at 252-341-2838 or tetheridge@embarqmail.com. Tim is a member of Riverview Baptist, Washington and the feeding unit leader for Region 2.

In Elm City

Elm City received damage from a tornado during Hurricane Florence and there is plenty of chainsaw work that can be done in the area. Volunteers can show up at Elm City Missionary Baptist Church located at 206 West Wilson Street, Elm CityThursday (9/19), Friday (9/20) and Saturday (9/21) at 8:30 AM to help with clean-up.
